Thursday Sept. 25th

Today, first thing, I applied to a Legal assistant job and a Outreach worker position. All I can do is wait, once again. I did some cooking and reading.... I really have nothing to say, maybe i should do one of these everyday. Well, tonight I'm going out with Sarah and other friends for some drinks.

Other crap:

John McCain suspended his campaign to deal with the economic crisis. He cancelled all his regularly scheduled interviews in the suspension as well. This pissed off Dave Letterman, who was suposed to be interviewing him that evening. This is Dave discussing this. I've been watching Letterman since I was pretty young and he rarely gets heated like this or overtly and overtly political in his personal speech on the show. I thought this was interesting anyways.

Song of the Day:
Weezer - The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived
I've been blasting that one lately, another perk of being home when no one else is, and having a floor to myself.

Yesterday

Hopefully I can get him to recount this, but my friend Adam got tickets to see Weezer in Lowell. He, as an avid Weezer fan, enjoyed the show and decided to get a setlist. To jump to the chase, he inadvertantly saw Rivers (the lead singer), Brian (the lead guitarist), and Pat (the drummer) completely naked in the shower in their lockerroom as he posed as a worker cleaning the room. I just about died laughing when he told this to me, thought I'd share that.

I applied to a job yesterday at a company that tests TV commercials and movie trailers for movie studio. It's only part time and the pay isn't great but its a nice job to pass the time and get some money coming in while I keep looking. Whatever, they haven't called me yet anyways.

I got a rejection letter from the insurance company in natick I interviewed at too. They said I was one of their "top candidates". Great. I didn't really want that job too bad anyways. The salary and benefits would have been nice though. Bah.

After all that garbage, I went to neighbor dinner in Brighton and got some meatballs and cake in me.

Leading up to this

Alright, it's September 25th. I left my last job August 8th. The last paycheck was August 22nd. Those are the facts.

Due to the fact that I am a pro at saving money (some friends lovingly call me a dirty jew), I am still afloat. I thought I had a nice job lined up when I left my job at Umass in August but It didn't work out that way. Then I moved into my parents house in RI for a couple weeks while I continued the job search and started an apartment search. The apartment search went much easier. I'm living in Newton with a couple friends, Matt and Greg.

I've had interviews since, along with rejection letters. Right now I have no real leads, though I try to apply to at least two jobs a day. So, what have I been doing with my free time? Good question.

I caught up with a few TV shows, joined the gym which is right next door to me, read a couple books, etc. Nothing exciting. But now that I live in the Boston area, right next to the bus that brings me downtown, I have the unlimited resources of the city to keep my entertained. So yah, i've been going to bars, concerts, and what-have-you. Money is tight but not yet at the point that I have to go begging for a job at McDonalds. The real deadline is a month from now is when I run out of health insurance. Anyways, I'll try to keep this this updated.
